Myrtle Beach Reprieve

Charrise, who is battling stage 4 colon cancer, hadn’t been on a vacation in over ten years. When her Social Worker at Duke reached out to us, we knew we had to help! We sent Charrise and her husband to Myrtle Beach, SC for a long weekend of relaxing, exploring, and taking a break from the burden of cancer.

 

Following her wish, Charrise told us, “We had such a good time. It was just really awesome. We're so very thankful. It's the first time we've been able to go and do anything together. I'm truly blessed.”

Huge thanks to Sandcastle South Beach who donated a condo for Charrise and Richard to enjoy for the weekend. We are also extremely grateful to Wish Creator Rhonda Bornman who delivered a special gift basket to Charrise to make her feel at home in her condo!
