UNC Basketball Dream

Joyce, a lifelong Tar Heel fan and colon cancer warrior, dreamed of taking her granddaughter to a UNC basketball game at the Smith Center. When her chemo nurse heard about Joyce’s dream, she knew she had to reach out to us to help. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to send Joyce and her family to see UNC’s victory over Gardner-Webb. They even got to meet Eric Montross! The family also enjoyed a stay at the cozy Hyatt Place hotel, which included a surprise of drinks, snacks, and UNC swag in her room! Joyce said, “You all really went all out. I feel like royalty!”
