REBECCA, AMY & MISTY'S WISH

Carolina Hurricanes Game
January 2020

Anyone who has been affected by a cancer diagnosis -- whether it be themselves, family or friends -- knows how difficult it is to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Last month, we teamed up with Parker LORD to give three cancer warriors and their families some time away from the disease. Through our “Fund It and Fill It” program, Parker LORD donated a suite at PNC Arena in Raleigh for the Carolina Hurricanes game.

The three “Wish Recipients” and their families were treated to VIP parking, a dedicated entrance into PNC, catered food and drink, and fantastic views of the ice. Additionally, the Hurricanes/PNC Arena staff got in on the action. Just prior to the start of the 2nd Period, the recipients and a few of their kids were invited down to the “Fan Tunnel” to fist bump the Hurricanes players as they came back onto the ice. Watch the exciting entrance here!

Later, some of the Hurricanes’ cheerleaders, the Storm Squad, came by with gifts for the recipients and snapped a few pictures.

Special thanks to Denise Austin and Marshall Fowle for coordinating the donation and working with PNC/Hurricanes staff to plan the activities for the recipients.
